A Quiet, Cozy Spot...
Do you have a spot in your home where you go to have quiet time? A place that is peaceful and calm and provides respite from the world of chaos around us?
I didn't have a specific spot like that until just a few years ago. When I was a newlywed, my husband and I lived in a quaint condo. We didn't have a ton of extra space, so I usually had my quiet time in a chair in our living room. Then, in our next home, I utilized the small alcove at the top of our staircase just off the landing. I placed a small table and a rocker there. Once my children began moving about and roaming the house, that didn't work quite as well anymore. Now, I have a cozy corner in my bedroom where I can tuck myself away from the world.
It's nothing extraordinary or fancy, but it sure is cozy and inviting!

See! I love it! I keep just the essentials in that bible bag that lives next to my night stand. The chair I sit in was purchased for me by my hubby at a yard-sale when we were newlyweds. That chair is now decorated with throw pillows that came with my bedding ensemble, and a blanket embroidered with our wedding date that was given to us as a wedding gift.
What I love about this spot is that it didn't cost a lot of money to set up or require a lot of upkeep. I utilized what I had on hand to create this intimate, cozy spot. It's quiet, has a beautiful view (when the curtain is open, and provides a great atmosphere when I want to sneak away and spend time alone with God, journal, read, or even take a phone call if I need to. It's my own little haven!
