Hi friends! Well today was my first big set of lab work since I started the Ultimiris IV infusions last month. To God be all the glory because for once we finally got GOOD NEWS! The medicine is working and we made a little bit of improvement! After failing and going downhill for 8 months, we have turned a corner and started moving in the right direction!!!!

In April, my creatinine was 15.56, and as of today it has dropped to 12.32! This is the first time it has ever moved down , and 3+ points in just one month is quite a leap! What a blessing! My BUN (which measures the amount of nitrogrogen in my body) has dropped down from 73 on April 4th to 53 today!

All the rest of my labs looked great! My hemoglobin had dropped back down to 7.9, so I will have to resume the poetin shots to make more blood, but I will take it!

My hematologist said he sees no reason to start dialysis right now, and that we can continue to monitor & pray for more improvement for now. Should I continue to trend down, we may be able to avoid it altogether.

The goal is to get my creatinine as close to 1 as possible... 12.32 is still very high, but we are trending in the right direction now. So we continue to pray, take the medicine, and trust Jesus for the results!

I am a firm believer that it is because of the prayers of the righteous that God has bent His ear and given me so much mercy in the midst of such a devastating disease. Thank you for alllllllll of your prayers! I truly am so eternally grateful for your intercession!

To God be all the glory for the story that He is writing!
