Suddenly Homeschool...
Hi friends! So if you are like me, due to all the coronavirus chaos, you have likely been thrown into educating your children from home. While this wasn't what we expected, our family is choosing to look at this with a positive attitude and see it as an opportunity. Yes, I said an opportunity! It's a chance to do something different for a change. A chance to do school on the back porch, in their favorite chair, or on a quilt in the yard! This is a chance to do school a little differently that before.

I have an innate need to be organized. There's just something inside of me that needs ALL. THE. THINGS. to have a designated home. When I found out that my family would be doing school from home, I quickly started assembling a place for me to corral all the papers and things. I created a simple homeschool binder for our family. (and I want to share it with you!)
Come check it out!
Our children's teachers will be giving us packets of work to complete each week and we will be doing weekly conference calls.
Remember, this binder is for my reference (not the kids')...
How My Homeschool Binder is Assembled
IN FRONT OF TABS:
LOGINS & PASSWORDS
COMMUNICATION
Letters & communication from the school - I don't want to have to dig through my email or rifle through a packet to find information, so I am keeping all communication (i.e. - letters & important emails) in this first section.
Parent-Teacher Conference Notes - I am using this form to keep up with what I'll need to discuss with the teacher each week, if anything.
TAB 1: SCHEDULE
Our Daily Schedule
Lesson Plans - I am keeping a list of what assignments need to be completed each day. I'll write each days' tasks/assignments on the lesson planning sheets for the week. Then, each day we will just go down the list for that day and check off the items as they are completed.
TAB 2: LISTS

To-Do List
TAB 3: PAPERWORK
This is where I am storing the papers, worksheets, and classwork instructions that we receive from the school.
TAB 4: RETURN TO SCHOOL
Completed work will get stored here until it's time to turn it in to the teacher.
TAB 5: NOTES & IDEAS
Bordom Busters

May this be a blessing to you in a time of unknowns. Remember that God is still on the throne and has gone before us in this. Enjoy!
