Simple Southern Biscuits
I love southern cuisine, and nothing goes better with a southern meal than fluffy southern biscuits! Biscuits can be paired with just about any meal, and this recipe has been one my family loves! Little belle loves to join me in the kitchen when it's time to make these!

This recipe was passed on to me from Mrs. C, and I have no idea where she got it from.
Tools Needed:
Large Mixing Bowl
Pastry Blender (or) two forks
Measuring Cup
Biscuit cutters (or a wide mouth mason jar)
8-9" Round cake pan
Ingredients:
2 C flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 C shortening
3/4 C milk (regular or buttermilk)
Instructions:
Combine all DRY ingredients first by whisking together in a large mixing bowl. Then place shortening on top of mixture. Cut in shortening with the pastry blender (or by pressing down & pulling the forks away from each other in opposite directions) until crumbly
