Christmas Card Prayers
Today I want to share a great way to get extra use out of your Christmas cards!
I don't know about you, but I LOVE to send & receive Christmas cards each year. A couple of years ago, one of my dearest friends gave me the idea to start sending an annual letter inside with updates on our family each year! I loved that idea, but sometimes I can be extra, so I started a new tradition of including a recipe. Recipe exchanges are becoming a lost art, and I have been blessed with some of THE BEST recipes over the years, so I'm keeping the tradition alive.

So what do you do with your Christmas cards after the holidays are over? You could recycle them... OR you could continue to use them!
A friend's church cuts the front of the card off, and then remounts it to card-stock to make a new card. These new cards are used to send to local nursing homes or care facilites. This would be a great way to recycle and send to our deployed military personnel as well.
Several of my friends put all their Christmas cards in a box, and at dinner time or during family devotions, they pull out a card, and pray over the family that sent it. I think that is a FANTASTIC way to enjoy your cards all year long. Could you imagine if you had a whole family praying for you throughout the year! What an impact that would have!
I am excited to do this with my family this year! Our goal is to get consistent with family devotions, and I think this is a great thing to include during that time.
What do you do with your Christmas cards after the holiday is finished?
Be Blessed,
