Homeschool Rewards

Rewards.

Do you ever find it interesting how simple things can make a big impact? I have found that having a good rewards system has really helped our family in our homeschool routine.

For their first prizes...

My little beau chose a sweet treat out of the prize box.

My southern belle chose to sit at my table in the school room as her prize for earning 6 good behavior tickets.

How our system works is pretty similar to what they had in a traditional school setting because it was effective for them. Clear expectations, and clear rewards.

They get to clip up during the day for:

• following directions

• being kind/helpful

• getting their work done without fussing

The get clipped down for:

• direct disobedience

• being unkind

• fussing or whining

So far it's been a good system! We are now bumping up from 6 to 10 for the new year! We will also add more rewards to the list too, now that they have the hang of it!
