Mirror, Mirror on the wall...
Three years. That's exactly how long I've waited for a special set of mirrors. A few years ago, I saw a photo of them and immediately fell in love! There was something that just drew me to the simple elegance of the scalloped design and the tall shape. I knew these mirrors would be stunning in a bathroom, above a console table, or even in a hallway. When we first started designing our new home, I knew these just had to live somewhere inside! My poor husband has listened to me talk about it incessantly for the last three years.

TODAY was THE DAY! This morning J said, "It's gonna be a rainy day. Instead of being cooped up in the house, go get your mirrors!" Jaw. Drop. What!? So in a flash, I threw on some clothes, loaded up, and off we went! My local Kirkland's is too tiny to get certain items in store, so the next closest place was Raleigh.
A day trip, an accidental drive on the toll road, 3 different Kirkland's, and lots of shenanigans later... we have MIRRORS!
YAY!!!!!
We don't quite need them just yet, but they are SUPER HARD to locate, and often are sold out or back-ordered online. I originally was going to do black in the master bathroom and champagne in the powder room, but they were out of champagne so I will do black in both of those bathrooms. I think with a different overhead light in the powder room, it'll give continuity of the house design while still keeping it a little different than our master bath.
Tomorrow's adventure: Finalizing countertops, then choosing tile for the bathrooms & laundry.
In two weeks, we'll get to choose lights and the stone for our fireplace!
