Transplant Consult No. 2

Hey friends!

Well, Monday's appt didn't go as planned. To be honest - it threw me for a loop, and it's taken me a few days to process. I now have an extra step to go through to get on the transplant list.

One of my kidney donors is now pending bc of the covid-19 shot requirement (she's allergic & her doc doesn't want her to take it). The transplant center wont allow you to be on the transplant list, have a transplant (or) be a donor without it, so my process is now longer than anticipated.

Yesterday, three friends all prayed with me, and God moved. I was able to eat a banana, a handful of chips, two applesauces, and some potatoes... kept it all down (without zofran! Praise!). I have also had the best sleep of my life the last three days.

A big development...

I had a spiritual breakthrough. Yesterday evening, a friend called me and we spent two hours on the phone while she poured into me so much scripture and wisdom. Peace washed over me, and I felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.

Last night, I woke from a dead sleep to spend time with God. I've had moments like this with Him before, but last night was different. From 3am-5am I prayed with everything I had, in a way that I've never prayed before. 🙏 Y'all, something happened in that stillness with God that I cannot explain. It was a complete shift. Right now, I am in the midst of both a physical & spiritual battle like I've never experienced before.... and yet, I have peace. It's His peace, the one the bible says surpasses all understanding, and something I cannot even put into words.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. - Psalm 51:10

God showed up and met me there in the quiet place. The best way I can describe what happened to me was a renewal. A renewal of my mind of my spirit. It was like the chains of bondage have been shaken off.

I keep coming back to Psalm 91. I've read that psalm probably 25+ times since last night. I'm leaning into the Holy Spirit and learning how to trust Him in a new way.

I don't know what's next... I'm waiting on Him to tell me... but while I wait, I'll praise and worship Him.

I go on Valentine's day to my regular nephrologist for a lab draw to check my creatinine level & renal panel. My next appointment at the transplant center is on the 17th, where I will meet with the doctor and have labs drawn.

Today, I have peace and assurance that I will have healing. Whether Jesus is leading me on a healing journey or gives me a miraculous healing is yet to be seen. ✝️
